Dr. Matthew Cron, Organist
Matthew has been with us since 1989. He has studied and played the organ for many years and in May, 2004, completed his doctorate in musicology from Brandeis University. Matthew leads the congregation’s music in worship, accompanies the choir, and coordinates guest musicians. He is active throughout the musical life of the congregation and community.
Maki is a Tokyo-born soprano whose interests lie mainly in early music, oratorio, and choral music. She holds a BA in English from Williams College and an MM in vocal performance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has actively participated in numerous academic, community, church, and children’s choirs over the last decade, by turns as a chorister, soloist, and assistant director. She has also sung roles in various operatic productions, including UMass Opera Workshop’s scenes and Gianni Schicchi (2012-3) and Amherst Early Music’s Der geduldige Socrates (2012). She is looking forward to launching a career as a soloist and a choral conductor as she continues her musical education.
Rev. Steven Wilco, Pastor
Originally from Virginia, Pastor Steven is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He completed seminary field work at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL, Atonement Lutheran Church in Philadelphia, PA, and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Dublin, OH, before coming to serve at Immanuel.
